The 3B Scientific K11 human kidney model series is enlarged for anatomical study of kidney structures. The K11 consists of three models for effective demonstration: the longitudinal section of the right kidney (3X life size); a kidney nephron depicting a section through the renal cortex and medulla, including the renal corpuscles with proximal and distal convoluted tubules, loops of Henle, collecting tubules and blood vessels (120X life size); and an open Malpighian corpuscle with glomerulus and Bowman’s capsule (700X life size). The models are mounted on a baseboard for display, and are made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic, which is corrosion resistant, lightweight, and has high strength.
